initiatives and activities

  • Organizing annual conferences, workshops, tutorials, technical meetings, etc., related to unmanned aviation and unmanned systems with a focus on UAS.

  • Offering short-courses, presenting seminars and briefings, participating in townhall public meetings, when invited, to scientists, engineers, academics, industry and the private sector, researchers, practitioners and end users who are interested in learning and improving their knowledge in unmanned aviation.

  • Publishing annually the ICUAS technical proceedings with findings and results of technical papers that register the state-of-the-art in unmanned aviation. 

  • Publishing on an ‘as needed basis’ highly technical research monographs in topics of interest in unmanned aviation.


  • Advocating and supporting the need for regulations for the UAS toy-industry to protect society from accidents

  • Increasing societal awareness.

The ICUAS Association, Inc., is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Colorado, USA. Its mission is to advance knowledge, education, basic and applied research and development, disseminate information and increase societal awareness in unmanned aviation, and specifically in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
